‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ – She was born March
9, 1952, created by our Chairman of the Board, President & CEO
Lloyd Price. With the help of 169 Music Icons support cast
lead by the King himself, Elvis Presley, along with Paul
McCartney, Joe Crocker, Roy Orbison, UK’s Shakin-Stevens,
Fats Domino, Lil Richard, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, and
many others. ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ has collectively
accounted for an incredible 250 million records unit sales
worldwide and some might say, over the past 53 years it has
been played on radio stations worldwide over One Billion
times.
The ‘Lloyd Price Icon Food Brand’ was inspired
by an American Music Icon, Lloyd Price. He is a pioneer of
Rock ‘n’ Roll & Soul music. He was inducted
into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
He introduced the music world to music greats Little Richard
and Wilson Picket. He wrote, produced, & sung #1 hit
records such as, ‘Personality’, ‘Stagger
Lee’ and of course, what some say, is arguably 2nd
most played radio record of All Times, ‘Lawdy
Miss Clawdy’. Lloyd Price is a United States Korean War
Veteran and a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Southern
University on May 12, 2001, and he was honored by his home
town of Kenner, Louisiana . The City Council voted, passed,
named, and erected a Lloyd Price
Avenue, permanently.
